Handmade double bass from the Violins Van Parys line of fine bowed instruments. This double bass was made from the finest Bosnian maple round back and Carpathian spruce. Then, shipped in the "white" without varnish to be graduated and varnished by professional luthier and double bass maker, John Koehler. This double bass features a fine deep amber spirit varnish over first quality wood and workmanship. The sound is deep, resonant and clear. A professional instrument ideal for either orchestral or jazz performance
