Cello handmade in Markneukirchen - Saxony circa 1920. This cello was made in Markneukirchen around 1920. It is a master made instrument, handmade of fine flamed Bosnian maple back and Carpathian spurce top. The varnish is a traditional Amber Pine shellac Spirit varnish in a dark brown hue. Recent restoration ensures this is in a good state of preservation and ready for many years of performance. The sound is rich and clear, with a brightness typical of fine German instruments of the time.
