German violin by Eckart Richter, Markneukirchen, 2002. Eckart Richter was born in 1936 and apprenticed with Werner Voight and then worked with Willi Linndorfer in Weimar in the 1950s. This violin is oil varnished in a beautiful deep orange color over a broad flamed one piece maple back. A fairly modern violin made in the style of the Markneukirchen masters of the early 20th century.
