André Tellis brand instruments are selected exclusively by Hammond Ashley Violins as the best handmade Asian instruments currently available. They are then professionally set up in our workshop in Issaquah, Washington to meet strict standards of playability. This includes fitting a new bridge, planing the fingerboard, fitting the tuning pegs correctly, adjusting the soundpost, and installing quality Dominant strings. the 200 model is a step up in tone wood and workmanship from our 100 entry level violin. Hand varnished in an antique fashion.
