Instructor BiographiesTiffany Modell, ViolinBachelor of Music Summa Cum Laude, Violin performance, Cincinnati College- Conservatory of Music.
Ms. Modell is a descendant of the highly regarded Ivan Galamian violin school. Her teachers include internationally renowned soloist Sergiu Luca and the late celebrated Dorothy DeLay (teacher of Itzhak Perlman, Midori, Sarah Chang, and Gil Shaham, to name a few) at The Juilliard School. Both Luca and DeLay were students of Galamian in their youth. Other influencial teachers include Naoko Tanaka - a founder and leader of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra N.Y.C., and Kurt Sassmannshaus - world renowned pedagogue and the D. R. Starling Chair for Classical Violin. Her career includes recitals, chamber music, and orchestral concerts in America and Europe. She has held the leadership positions of Concertmaster and Soloist for the Virginia Symphony, the Virginia Opera Orchestra, The Classics 4 Kids Philharmonic, and California Chamber Orchestra. She ended her tenure as a 1st violinist in the Kansas City Symphony of Missouri in 2001. Since that time, Ms. Modell has been an active chamber musician and recitalist: "Tiffany- You were incredible! I didn't know such beautiful sound could come out of that instrument! Wow!" "It was truly one of THE best performances I have EVER heard - and I've heard quite a few! Tiffany Modell is not just a fine violinist, she is an artist! I was captivated by her music making the entire time." Teaching violin has always been a part of Ms. Modell's professional life. She is a member of the American String Teachers Association, an Affiliate of the LaJolla Conservatory of Music, and a teacher of the Carnegie Hall Royal Conservatory of Music Achievement Program.
