Omar Firestone, Cello

Omar Firestone is a 'Cellist well known as a performer and teacher in the greater San Diego / Tijuana metropolitan area'.

A student of Margaret Rowell and Laszlo Varga, he holds a Bachelor of Music from San Francisco State University.

As a founding member of The Hutchins Consort in 2000, and a soloist of the Tijuana-based Orquesta de Baja California, he has performed in Europe, Mexico City, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, (New York City) and the University of Kansas Lied Center.

His students have played principal in the San Diego Youth Symphony.
