Instructor BiographiesMichael Dvoskin, Violin
Mikhail (Michael) Dvoskin began studying violin at the age of six at the famous Moscow’s Central Music School. Michael later continued to earn a Bachelor’s of Music degree in violin performance from the Moscow State College and a Master’s Degree in violin performance at the Maimonid State Academy of Classical Art (SACA). Michael has achieved international recognition performing with radio and television orchestras. Michael was also a member of the Russian State Symphony Orchestra having performed under world class conductors such as Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Maxim Shostakovich and Valery Polyansky. He has also toured with the orchestra throughout England (London Royal Albert Hall), the Czech Republic (Prague Philharmonic Hall) and Spain (for the Royal Family). Michael has also conducted both chamber and symphony orchestras throughout Russia including the Maimonid SACA Symphony Orchestra. Michael now resides in San Diego maintaining a studio for private violin lessons while performing with his pianist wife, Katherine Petrosyan.
