Accidental Damage and Loss Plan

Coverage:

Instruments are covered from accidental loss, theft or damage while premium is paid current and rental contract payments are current. All items on the rental contract are covered. A deductible applies per claim and must be paid at the time of service. Damage plan eligibility may be denied after three claims have been processed on any individual account.

Exclusions:

1. Wear and tear items such as bow rehair, worn or broken strings.
2. Gross neglect or intentional abuse as determined by Hammond Ashley Violins
3. Work performed by other individuals or companies
4. Items valued lower than the deductable

All work must be performed by Hammond Ashley Violins for this agreement to be valid. Work performed by other individuals or companies may result in the customer being financially responsible to restore the items to saleable condition or replacement as deemed necessary by Hammond Ashley Violins.

Do I really need the damage plan?

It is not always the customer's fault when damage occurs. However, you are responsible for the instrument while it is in your possession. Most commonly, damage occurs when the instrument is not under the child's care at school. Or, as is the case with this cello, in in the trunk of a car during an unfortunate accident.
